Let's start 2024 with a new year resolution

thank you 2023 - the year when my financial coaching business was born

We have been waiting this festive season for so long and it's so hard to believe that we are almost coming to the end of it.

Entering every New Year with the New Year resolution has become one of my Christmas traditions. Last few days of each year I spend time on brainstorming what are the most important goals and focus areas for me, and then I get to pick a couple that I want to be my top priorities for the next year.

This year was not an exception. I officially launched "Finance First Coaching" in September 2023, and in December I was reflecting on my business journey and making business plans for 2024. During this exercise I came up with the New Year resolution for my business:

"I vow to help more individuals and small business owners to feel more financially stable and empowered this year".

In the current world of rising cost of living, financial pressures, mortgage rate rises and finding your work-life balance it is so important to ensure you stay on top of your finances and are ready for any emergencies or unexpected situations.

I feel like 2023 was a year of unpleasant financial surprises for many of us: we were hit with 5 rate rises by RBA, increased costs of groceries, petrol, day care and school fees, insurance premiums, gas and electricity bills - and this is not even a full list. When you are a stay-at-home mum like I was at the time you feel the hit so hard.

Luckily, I was on top of our family budget, did an annual review of all our bills, negotiated our mortgage rate with the current lender and knew how much room we had if more increases were to come. Being in a position where you can control the situation feels much better than being constantly worried about things out of your control. I felt like everything was under control partially due to my background: I was a Chartered Accountant and had an extensive experience in planning, budgeting and financial analysis while working in Corporate Finance for over 14 years. And so I did the similar planning and analysis for my personal finance. However, I felt that for so many people it was much more difficult to manage the financial circumstances: not because they did not have enough money for living, but because they spent their money every month and had no clarity on where their money was going. No planning, no budget, no expenses tracking.

It was in September 2023 when I decided that I can and want to do so much more than plan my personal finances. I can help people around me who have no clarity on their spending. Those who don't understand why they have not been able to save towards their home deposit over the last few years. And even those who hate budgeting because they have never come across any budget that works well for them, the one that is based on their individual priorities and values. This is how "Finance First Coaching" was born.

Building healthy money habits is a foundation of personal finance

I am passionate about helping people to uncover the possibilities of their finances, to find new opportunities to improve their financial situations. Most of the time all it takes is to start working on building healthy money habits, learn to be aware of your impulse spending and its triggers and growing your financial mindset. Once the good money habits are in place they create a solid foundation for your financial journey.

I have decided to pursue Financial Coaching because I want to help people like you to feel more confident about your money. I want you to have less stress about your money and better work-life balance. And most importantly, I want you to be able to achieve your financial goals faster with my coaching and guidance along the way.

Have you set your financial goal for 2024?

Have you set your financial goal for 2024? This is the question I want to ask each and every one of you. And maybe a few more:

  • Are you financially ready for more rate rises and further costs increases?

  • Have you built an emergency fund? Do you have enough money to get you through a few months of your expenses in case if you are made redundant?

  • Do you have a goal that you are saving towards? Do you know how long it will take you to achieve it?

  • If you are planning a family, have you prepared yourselves financially for the next phase?

If you answer "No"to any of those questions, I would absolutely love to help you and set you on a path towards financial independence.

Let's talk! Book a Complimentary Call with me now.

There is no better time for it than the start of the New Year.
